The Difference (2009)

This is documentation of a video and sound installation - a collaboration between sound artist Shawn Decker and light artist Jan Tichy, premiered in Ptuj, Slovenia in the summer of 2011 and later featured at the Currents festival in Santa Fe.. The sound comes from the 5 speakers placed on the floor, and is synchronized with a projector which provides the light. The light is from a previous work by Tichy which also incorporated sculptural objects, and was used as the basis for this new work which added sound and replaced the sculptural objects with speakers The piece is in 5 channels, and sound is spatially synchronized with the light projcection and its relationship to the 5 speakers.
