I have work in several upcoming shows that will be opening this summer.  Here is a list of these shows, with more details to follow as they each open:

Motion Studies (Air)  opens August 24 as part of the group show Pathways and Portals: Art, nature, and Science at the Illinois State Museum in Lockport, Illinois.

Motion Studies (Prairie) will be shown at the Audible Gallery  in Chicago from August 27 through Sept. 19.  This will be a preview showing of  a small scale version of this new piece.

Errant Behaviors (Collaboration with Anne Wilson) will be shown at the Beach Gallery at Kansas State University (Manhattan, KS) as part of the show Material Evidence from Oct 8, 2010 until Feb 6, 2011.

A preliminary version of my new work Motion Studies (Prairie) - currently under development - will show at the Experimental Sound Studio's Audible Gallery. This special "sneak peek" exhibition will premier a small version of the complete work prior to its first public showing at full scale. The exhibition will open on Aug 27 (with an opening event that evening). More information will be posted here as it is set.

I just received notification that I received funding for my latest project Motion Studies (Prairie) from the Illinois Arts Council.  Look for updates on the project here as it develops!  Everything needs to be wrapped up by Aug. 31 so I'll be moving fast!  Here is a bit of the project description to whet your appetite:

The Nightsounds is showing at a solo show (making it a particularly great opportunity to really hear this piece without distraction of other sounds) at the Westminister Art Gallery at Bloomfield College.  Bloomfield College is in New Jersey just outside of New York City.  The piece is documented here on this site.  Details for the exhibition are:
