Sound Sauna Project covered in New York Times
My current collaboration with Finnish Artist Jan-Erik Andersson, the "Sound Sauna" is part of the SaunaLab project, which is set to be unveiled as part of Turku, Finland's run in 2011 as Cultural Capital of Europe.
You can find the project description online at SaunaLab's site. This past Sunday, the New York Times featured this project in their summer arts preview of Europe in the Sunday Travel Section. Jan-Erik's Life on a Leaf house, which I contributed an installation for, was also featured. THe Souna - one of 5 artist-designed public Saunas will be installed at the public baths in Turku starting in June of 2011, and will be open to the public throughout the summer.
Also - there is now a nice video interview featuring Jan-Erik and I talking about the project and our various collaborations - check it out!
